Science and Wonder: Beverley Pack Visits Kambalda Community Recreation Facility

Kambalda Community Recreation Facility (CRC) was buzzing with excitement as Beverley Pack from Anglicare led a fun-filled and educational session focused on science and wonder. With a particular emphasis on engaging young children under school age. Beverley introduced a range of activities designed to nurture curiosity, creativity, and development through messy play, fine motor skills activities, language and literacy sessions, and music and movement. An essential aspect of the session was the involvement of Parenting Connection.

There were no bookings necessary, making it easy for families to attend and participate on the day and the informal and welcoming atmosphere allowed families to drop in and enjoy the day without the stress of planning ahead. With 35 people in attendance, the event was a hit and allowed families to connect with each other and others in the community. Anglicare and the Kambalda Community Recreation Facility continue to collaborate on these enriching events, providing exposure to a vital service for local families and ensuring that the wonders of early childhood learning are available to all.

Linkwest is excited to introduce this new segment in our eNews called "Centre Spotlight." This segment will highlight the incredible and impactful work happening at Centres.
